About Us

Are you spending your working day, days out or holidays away worrying that your dog might be struggling to settle without you in an environment so unlike their own home?

As a home-based set-up with a limited selection of dogs on our books, we provide the peace of mind that your dog is enjoying the familiar comfort of a home environment they're used to, building friendships and always in the company of a human they've grown to know and trust.

About Us

Gemma and Maria are a mother and daughter team with a combined lifetime of animal care experience. Whether your life has got too busy to give your dog the exercise he or she needs or you're jetting off on holiday, we are here to give that home from home care. Providing a tailored service to suit you and your precious companions is our joy. We are located within Horsham, West Sussex and extend our services within a 4 mile radius.

We give your dog its own holiday - going for adventure walks, participating in stimulating playtimes, exploring new places and making new friendships. We ensure that your dog has the time of their life and at the end of the adventure has a safe and comfortable place to rest and catch up on some doggy dreams.

We are both fully insured, DBS checked and certified in Pet First Aid. Maria has an OFQUAL Regulated Level 3 Qualification in Day Care and Boarding. Gemma has a Competency Course Certificate for Kennels, Dog Day Care and Home Boarders.

We currently live with an array of well socialised rescued animals, including a 6 year old Collie German Shepherd cross called Jasper, a 5 year old Greyhound Setter Collie cross called Murphy and a puppy-mad ginger tomcat called Winston. They are part of our team and love having new members join their pack. They are happy to share their array of beds and toys. Jasper loves to find a chum to play tug with - his favourite chum is Frankie, a dachshund cross, that he always lets win - and Murphy loves a game of chase. We joyfully extend our furry family to meet your needs!

What Their Owners Say

"Two Homes"

"I have a little dachshund cross terrier called Frankie and she basically has two homes. One with me and one with Gemma. Frankie adores her visits to Gemma's house, so much so as she is dropped off she never takes a backward glance. Frankie excitedly runs round the corner straight into Gemma's house and out of sight. A solid testimony to a happy dog. Gemma and her mother Maria are such friendly, caring, kind and compassionate people; we are so lucky to have found them. Frankie and I would highly recommend a stay with Gemma."

"So Glad"

"Maria and Gemma are fantastic. They accommodated my Pomsky puppy and look after her as if she's their own. She absolutely loves going to Horsham Pet Care; she has already made lots of puppy pals and gets very excited walking up the driveway! Thank you so much. We are so glad we found you."

"A Godsend"

"I have a 3 year old Cavapoo called Bentley. He was very nervous when I took him to day care at a local kennels so it was a godsend when I found Gemma. Bentley has been going to Gemma's for one day a week for nearly two years now, he gets on very well with Gemma's dogs and cat and he really loves his day out. Bentley has also stayed there when we have been on holiday and Gemma sends us regular updates and photos. Going to Gemma's is a loving home from home for Bentley and I would highly recommend her pet care services."
